The story behind the name

CRESO takes its name from Croesus— the king of Lydia who, twenty-six centuries ago, minted the world's first standardized gold and silver coins. Before him, wealth was raw, unmeasured metal. After him, value could be stamped, trusted, and carried anywhere. He didn't just grow rich. He created the standard that let value move. We still say it today: rich as Croesus.
